Samsara Lets Fleets Connect Live Data to ChatGPT and Other AI Tools

Fleet managers can now bring live Samsara data directly into AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot without building a custom integration.

The new Samsara MCP gives authorized users access to fleet information including vehicles, drivers, safety events, hours of service, fuel, maintenance and other operational data. Managers can ask questions in plain language and combine Samsara information with data from other business systems.

The connection is read-only, meaning AI tools cannot change settings or assignments inside Samsara. Access also follows each user's existing Samsara permissions.

Samsara MCP is available to supported customers now at no additional charge, although the company says usage-based pricing is planned for the future.
