Kenworth and Peterbilt Recall 26,729 Trucks
A fuel hose problem could cause some Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks to stall or catch fire.
PACCAR reported a safety recall to NHTSA on October 21, 2026.
The recall covers 26,729 potentially affected trucks, including certain Kenworth T270, T280, T370, T380 and T480 models, along with Peterbilt 536, 537, 548 and 567 models.
The problem involves fuel hoses on Cummins PX9 engines.
A hose could disconnect and leak diesel fuel. This could cause the engine to stall while driving. Fuel leaking near an ignition source could also start a fire.
Dealers will replace the affected hoses free of charge.
Owner notification letters are scheduled to begin mailing December 20, 2026.
