C.H. Robinson Trucking Rates Jump 31.5%

By CDLCrewEditorial standards

Freight rates are climbing at one of America's largest freight brokers.

On October 28, 2026, C.H. Robinson reported its third-quarter financial results.

The average rate the company charged customers for truckload transportation increased 31.5% compared with the same quarter last year.

At the same time, the average rate C.H. Robinson paid to trucking companies increased 33.5%.

Both figures exclude fuel surcharges.

The company's North American truckload and LTL shipment volume also grew 3.5%.

These numbers show that C.H. Robinson is paying more to move freight, but also charging customers more.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

For owner-operators and small trucking companies, higher carrier rates could be a positive sign.

But the 33.5% increase is an average from C.H. Robinson, not a guaranteed raise for every load.

Drivers should still compare rates and calculate fuel, insurance, and other expenses before accepting freight.
