Kalmar Recalls 16,127 Terminal Tractors
Kalmar Solutions is recalling 16,127 Ottawa T2 terminal tractors because of a possible electrical problem that could cause a fire.
The recall affects certain Ottawa T2 terminal tractors from model years 2014 through 2026.
The problem involves an electrical circuit board inside the cab. Damaged insulation may cause a short circuit and increase the risk of fire.
Kalmar announced the safety action in October 2026 and plans to install additional electrical protection on affected vehicles.
What This Means for CDL Drivers
The recall mainly affects terminal tractors used at ports, warehouses, and distribution centers.
Operators should check whether their equipment is included in NHTSA recall 26V648 and contact Kalmar about the repair.
The recall does not apply to all highway trucks.
