Maryland Completes $4.4 Million Upgrade of US 13 Weigh Station

Maryland transportation officials have completed a $4.4 million modernization of the US 13 truck weigh and inspection station in Wicomico County.

The project added new height detectors, modern scales, upgraded computer systems, more inspection parking, improved lighting, cameras, barriers, signage, and new inspection buildings on both sides of the highway.

The station was originally built in 1955, and the improvements were completed without expanding the existing property.
