Georgia Extends Diesel Tax Relief

Georgia truckers are getting more time without the state's diesel fuel tax.

On October 24, 2026, Governor Brian Kemp announced that Georgia's fuel tax suspension will continue through November 30.

The state diesel tax normally costs 37.3 cents per gallon.

The suspension was previously scheduled to end in October.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

Drivers and trucking companies buying diesel in Georgia will continue to benefit from the temporary state tax suspension.

This does not remove federal interstate truck weight limits.
