16 Trucking Companies Enter Bankruptcy in Less Than a Month

At least 16 trucking, delivery and transportation companies entered bankruptcy proceedings between late August and September 21, according to federal bankruptcy filings and carrier records reviewed by FreightWaves.

The cases range from small carriers to fleets operating dozens of trucks. Some companies filed Chapter 7, which generally involves liquidation, while others sought Chapter 11 protection to reorganize their businesses.
