1,307 Truck Violations in Massachusetts

Massachusetts State Police reported the results of Operation Wicked Safe, a regional traffic enforcement campaign held October 13–15, 2026.

Commercial vehicle inspectors checked 577 trucks and other commercial vehicles, finding 1,307 violations.

Violations included driving without a valid CDL, false logbooks, suspended licenses, brake problems, and controlled substances inside commercial vehicles.

Inspectors also made three arrests and issued $72,230 in fines related to commercial vehicle enforcement.

The operation involved Massachusetts and five neighboring states.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

The results show the importance of valid CDL documents, accurate driver logs, working brakes, and proper pre-trip inspections.

Serious violations can lead to fines and vehicles or drivers being placed out of service.
