Knight-Swift Sees Better Freight Rates

By CDLCrewEditorial standards

One of America's biggest trucking companies is making more money.

On October 21, 2026, Knight-Swift reported its third-quarter financial results.

The company brought in about $2.2 billion in revenue, up 14% from the same quarter last year.

The company said better freight rates and tighter cost control helped improve its results.

Adjusted earnings reached $0.83 per share, compared with $0.32 a year earlier.

Knight-Swift also reported better pricing on contract freight.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

Improving freight rates are a good sign for trucking companies and owner-operators.

But remember, these are Knight-Swift's results. They don't mean every carrier is getting higher rates or every driver is getting a raise.
