ICE Launches Tipline for Reporting CDL Fraud

Federal authorities are asking the public to report suspected commercial driver’s license fraud as part of a broader crackdown on unqualified drivers.

The Department of Homeland Security announced on September 9 that ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations has established a CDL fraud tipline. Reports can be made by calling 866-347-2423.

DHS said the initiative is part of ongoing federal enforcement involving ICE, the Department of Transportation and other agencies. The department also cited several previous cases involving drivers who authorities said obtained CDLs despite being unlawfully present in the United States.
