Def Leppard Checks Out England’s Truck Stops in New Video
Life on the road gave Def Leppard a chance to explore something familiar to professional drivers but less common in a rock band's tour content: the places where people stop to eat, rest and recharge between destinations.
The band released its first Truck Stop Review on September 2, taking viewers along as the musicians visit truck stops while traveling through England.
Instead of focusing on concerts and backstage life, the video looks at what the different stops have to offer. Def Leppard's official description highlights everything from coffee and french fries to laundromats and a surprise casino.
The band turns the experience into a competition, comparing the stops before deciding which one deserves the top ranking.
For American CDL drivers, the video offers a lighter look at road life on the other side of the Atlantic. While the facilities and terminology may differ from U.S. truck stops, many of the priorities are familiar: somewhere to park, get food, take a break and find useful services while traveling.
Def Leppard describes the video as its first-ever Truck Stop Review. The band's official website published the episode and credited Ryan Sebastyan for the video.
