Police Ask Truckers to Check Dashcams

By CDLCrewEditorial standards

Police are asking truck drivers for help finding a dangerous escaped prisoner.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is searching for Jacob Allen Morley, who escaped from a Tennessee prison while serving a life sentence for murder.

Investigators believe truck drivers may have recorded useful information near a truck stop in Illinois.

Police are asking anyone who was at the Pilot Travel Center at 2611 Vernell Road in Marion, Illinois, on Monday, October 26, between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM to check their dashcam footage.

Even something small caught on camera could help investigators.

Authorities are offering a reward of up to $17,500 for information leading to Morley's arrest.

Morley is considered dangerous. Anyone who sees him should not approach him.

Call 911 or 1-800-TBI-FIND.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

If you parked or stopped at this Pilot truck stop on October 26, check your dashcam recordings.

Your camera may have captured something important without you noticing.
