Drivers Using Five Revoked ELDs Could Be Placed Out of Service Starting October 6

Truck drivers and motor carriers using five recently revoked ELD models have until October 6 to replace the devices.
FMCSA removed MOONLIGHT ELD, HGRS ELD, HIGHEST ELD, TRUCKFORD ELD and Sparkle ELD from its list of registered electronic logging devices after determining they failed to meet minimum federal requirements.
Until the deadline, affected drivers can use paper logs or logging software to record hours of service.
Starting October 6, drivers who continue using one of the revoked devices may receive citations and could be placed out of service under ELD enforcement procedures.
