Diesel Rises to $6.276 Per Gallon

Diesel prices are rising again.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released new diesel price data on October 20, 2026.

The national average on-highway diesel price reached $6.276 per gallon for October 19.

That is an increase of 9.7 cents from the previous week's average of $6.179.

In California, diesel reached $8.242 per gallon. The Midwest average increased to $6.352, while the Gulf Coast average reached $5.903.

These figures represent average retail diesel prices, including taxes.
