By CDLCrewEditorial standards

Canadian border officers seized 127 kilograms of suspected cocaine from a commercial truck arriving from the United States.

The seizure happened on September 11, 2026, at the Ambassador Bridge crossing in Windsor, Ontario.

During a secondary inspection, officers used a detection dog and discovered suspected cocaine inside the trailer.

Two men from Mississauga, Ontario, were arrested. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police charged them with importing cocaine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The case is before the court. The charges have not been proven.

What This Means for CDL Drivers

Truck drivers crossing the U.S.-Canada border may face detailed cargo inspections.

Drivers should check trailer security and report suspicious activity. The announcement does not introduce new border regulations.
