I-64 Ramp to I-70 East in Missouri to Close for 30 Days Starting October 12

Truck drivers traveling through Wentzville, Missouri, should prepare for a 30-day closure of the westbound Interstate 64 exit ramp to eastbound Interstate 70, beginning Monday, October 12.

According to the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT), exit 1B will close as crews reconstruct the I-70/I-64/US-61 interchange. The closure is part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project.

Drivers needing to reach eastbound I-70 should stay in the left lane of westbound I-64, follow exit 1A, continue to the Route Z interchange at exit 209, turn around and then head east on I-70.

The work is part of a $600 million project to improve approximately 20 miles of I-70 between Warrenton and Wentzville. Construction is expected to finish by the end of 2028. MoDOT advises drivers to allow extra travel time and follow posted work zone speed limits. Schedules may change depending on weather.
