I-405 Southbound in Washington to Close for Entire Weekend, October 9–12

Truck drivers traveling through Bothell, Washington, should prepare for a full weekend closure of southbound Interstate 405 beginning Friday, October 9.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), all southbound lanes between State Route 527 and SR 522 will close at 10 p.m. Friday and remain closed until 4 a.m. Monday, October 12.

The closure also affects the southbound I-405 entrance from SR 527, the Northeast 195th Street ramps and the southbound exit to SR 522. Crews will repair bridges, reconstruct pavement and improve drainage as part of the I-405/Brickyard to SR 527 Improvement Project.

Signed detours will be available, but WSDOT warns of heavier traffic and longer travel times on southbound I-5 and surrounding roads. Truck drivers should plan extra time and check current road conditions before entering the area. The schedule may change due to weather.
