Truck drivers traveling through Kingman, Arizona, now have a new way to access the city's airport and industrial areas directly from I-40.

ADOT opened the new Flying Fortress Parkway interchange at Exit 56 on October 5. The $44 million project includes new entrance and exit ramps and connects I-40 with the growing eastern part of Kingman.

The interchange is expected to reduce congestion around the existing I-40 interchange at Andy Devine Avenue, also known as Historic Route 66, about four miles to the west.

ADOT is also building a separate $106 million I-40/US 93 interchange in the Kingman area. That project is more than 80% complete and is expected to be finished in 2027.
